ReplyDeleteThis portion was definitely heart aching.
ReplyDeleteBeing compared to a Zombie is actually very accurate and I was so glad when she realized that. I think it's sparked a changed in her.
pg 106 "And I realized which one resembled me the most." Further on the same page, "I wasn't the heroine anymore."
Bella craving... a sort of desperation to feel anything woke her up out of her zombie state.
On page 111 is when we first hear Edward's voice while she face strangers in the night.
It was probably to first and only time I felt bad for Jessica.
On pg 118 when the pain of hearing Edward and remembering him caught up to her was so sad. While reading that part it reminded me of a time when I was little and all of a sudden I had a hard time breathing. I recall how every breath was painful and added to the panic I felt. Of course, I got medical attention but thinking back to that fright it had helped me to understand the possibility of such pain while reading line after line.
I like this line on 117:
"Forbidden to remember, terrified to forget; it was a hard line to walk."
I am at the part where Bella decides that she is going to be "stupid and reckless" and break promises. I know there is danger ahead of her but I can not help but cheer her on.... Anything better then being a zombie. I like the turn of events of her taking action and I gotta admit I loved her spontaneity with the motorcycle.
I cant wait to read everyone's thoughts. I am going to read more and comment back!=) Have a great day everyone! Hopefully, Hinano will be near a computer soon and chime in!=)
hmmmmm.... I am loving Jacob again! He is very sweet. BUT BUT BUT I am always going to be a bigger Edward fan.
ReplyDeleteThe rest of the pages I finished today was much more fun to read then the Zombie stuff. Reading how Jacob helps her to cope is great. But I am marking my book keeping track of her feelings for Jacob....
It's 4 a.m. and I can't find my book...ugh. But will post as soon as I get more zzzz's and find my book. So many thoughts about this reading.

ReplyDeleteSelf revelation (pg 106)…It wasn’t until almost the very end, as I watched a haggard zombie shambling after the last shrieking survivor, that I realized what the problem was…I realized which one resembled me the most. Ever had one of those “out of the blue” self revelations. I have a few times and I didn’t like it, couldn’t talk, didn’t want to continue.

Jacob’s character, BC (before change) (pg 145)…he was a happy person. I understand why it was hard for Bella to have the feelings she had for Jacob. I too, would want to be around a happy person.
What I learned (pg 145)…Bella is 5 feet 4 inches, just like me!
What I forgot…the name of the movie Bella saw with Jessica, Dead End.
Trivia question…How many times did Bella “hear” Edward in chapter 4? Does snarling count? (pg 114)
Kismet…destiny, a predetermined course of events. (pg 126)
